Help on the Way for Farmers

Farmers here in Pennsylvania, along with others in Ohio and West Virginia affected by ongoing drought conditions can now access emergency resources through the USDA’s Farm Service Agency. The USDA has designated multiple counties in all three states as primary natural disaster areas, enabling eligible farmers to apply for emergency credit. The loans can help with the replacement of equipment, livestock, and other recovery needs. Producers may also be eligible for additional relief programs, such as the Livestock Forage Disaster Program. Farmers are urged to contact their local USDA Service Center for more information.
