Brandon Holbrook’s murder trial, initially scheduled for this month, has now been rescheduled to late March 2025. The now 48 year old Holbrook is accused of killing 51 year old Joseph Shymanski and dismembering his body. On Monday, Holbrook rejected a plea deal that would have led to a life sentence without parole, opting instead for a jury trial. He faces charges including first-degree murder and firearm use in a violent crime. The trial, now set for March 31, is expected to last about 10 days. Holbrook has been in jail since his arrest last September.
