The Mifflin County School Board has appointed Brent Erb to fill a vacant seat, following a special voting meeting on Thursday. Erb, a 27-year resident of Mifflin County, will serve until November 2025, completing the term of the late Fredrick Nickel. The board voted 6-2 in favor of Erb after interviewing six candidates. During his interview, Erb emphasized his community involvement and support for technical education. In other business yesterday, the board announced free athletic passes for senior citizens, veterans, and active military personnel at the upcoming Mifflin County home football game.
