Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology Remains Closed

The Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology remains closed following the discovery of asbestos in a classroom last week. The closure came after a construction trades class removed a chalkboard, revealing asbestos levels exceeding safe limits. Superintendent Vance Varner says 15 samples from various areas of the building, including air ducts, are currently being tested. Results are expected by later today. The school will remain closed until safety measures are confirmed.
