Today, we have a few new details… Geisinger patients are being informed that a former employee of an IT service provider, may have accessed their personal information. The employee is now facing federal charges after possibly having accessed data of over one million patients, including names, birth dates, addresses, and medical records. No financial or Social Security information was compromised. Geisinger advises affected patients to review their health statements and contact their health insurers if they notice any discrepancies.
