In Milroy, the Lions Club dedicated a pavilion to honor long-time member James Snook and his wife, Helen recently. Snook, a World War II veteran and co-owner of Snook’s Foodtown Market, was known for his innovative grocery delivery service and his 33 years as Lions Club treasurer. The pavilion, funded by Snook’s donations, is now open for public use at Armagh Memorial Field. Snook passed away in 2016, and his wife passed in 2014, but their contributions to the community live on.
