2 Facing Felony Charges After Bank Frauds

In Centre County, two men from out of state are facing charges for allegedly using fake documents at local banks. Investigators say 64 year old Arthur Smith from New Jersey, attempted to obtain bank statements using a fake driver’s license at a State College bank. A teller recognized him as a suspect from an earlier incident in Juniata County.
Smith admitted to police that 24-year-old Jason Arzu, from New York, provided him with the fake documents to obtain money. Both men are now charged with multiple felonies for forgery and theft-related offenses and are currently in the Centre County Correctional Facility.
