Nj Woman Seeking More Money Now After Winning $20 Million in Court Case

After winning a $20.5 million workplace discrimination case, Patricia Holmes, a New Jersey woman, is now seeking over $1.6 million in legal fees and costs. Holmes litigated the case for three years, alleging intentional discrimination while working in State College. The jury found in her favor, awarding $20 million in punitive damages against American HomePatient. Holmes however, wants even more, and now is seeking to enhance the legal fees paid by the defendant, arguing for the superior performance and commitment of resources by her counsel. American HomePatient previously offered to settle for $450,000.
