A one-vehicle crash happened on Sunday, Christmas Eve, at about 6am in Lewistown at Nittany Minit Mart. State Police say 25 year old Michlene Zouetr of Altoona was driving a Subaru Forester on U.S. Highway 522 south when she apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Zouetr said she woke up just as the vehicle was running off the road, where it hit several curbs, then went through a gravel lot and then another curb before finally coming to rest in the parking lot of the Minit Mart. Nobody was hurt, but the vehicle suffered major damage and had to be towed away.
