A Lewistown man was arrested after attempting to flee police on foot. 30 year old Isaac Hoyt was found illegally carrying a firearm. Hoyt already faced numerous charges including felony possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substances, and other related offenses. The incident began with a domestic dispute call, where Hoyt allegedly assaulted someone and then fled the scene. Despite attempting to evade police, Hoyt was apprehended after a foot pursuit and subsequent struggle. Police discovered drugs and a firearm in Hoyt’s possession during the arrest. He was denied bail due to being deemed a danger to society and is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 1.
