A 38-year-old man from McAlisterville finds himself behind bars after an incident involving stolen firearms. Police now say Travis Russel Coble accidentally shot himself while playing with the stolen guns. When officers arrived at his apartment, they discovered Coble with a bullet wound in his abdomen and a Ruger Blackhawk 30 revolver on the stovetop. Further investigation revealed missing firearms and collectibles belonging to the apartment complex owner. Coble was taken for medical treatment, and then he was arrested. His bail was set at $50,000, and he now awaits a preliminary hearing that’s scheduled for June 12.
