A Centre County man faces serious charges after being accused of driving under the influence with three children in his car. The incident occurred in Bellefonte, where an on-duty officer narrowly avoided a collision with David Anderson’s vehicle. Police say Anderson exhibited clear signs of intoxication, including bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. A subsequent blood test revealed a staggering blood alcohol content of over 0.300%. The officer ensured the safety of the children and arranged transportation for them. Anderson now faces charges of DUI and endangering the welfare of children. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 22.
