The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is ramping up efforts as the deadline for REAL ID approaches… now within 10 days. Starting May 7, residents 18 and older must have a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or federal identification, such as a passport, to fly domestically. PennDOT is extending hours at driver’s license centers, including upcoming REAL ID Mondays today, and again on May 5, to help residents comply. While getting a REAL ID is optional for some, those traveling or entering federal facilities will need one.
