Mifflin County Junior High School is holding a recycling competition between 8th and 9th graders. The goal is to collect 1,000 pounds of plastic bags, which will be turned into a bench for the school’s courtyard. The class with the most plastic bags will earn the bench in honor of their graduating class. Drop-off dates are April 21 from 2-4 pm and April 22 from 8 am-4:15 pm at the main office. Bags can also be dropped off weekdays at the Historic Courthouse in Lewistown.
