PennDot Project Begins Next Week in Juniata County

Drivers on Route 22 near the Arch Rock Road Interchange in Juniata County will see single-lane closures starting next week as PennDOT begins preliminary work on a safety improvement project. Crews will install a high-tensioned cable median barrier along 2.5 miles of roadway to prevent crossover crashes. The westbound passing lane will close first, followed by the eastbound lane. All lanes will reopen at the end of each workday, with minimal traffic impact expected. Work is set to last about two weeks, weather permitting. The barrier installation will begin later this year.
