Lewistown police are widening their probe into the death of a 30-year-old man who was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest at a home on Shaw Avenue last week. When police first arrived, they attempted to provide first aid, but the victim later died from his injuries. Initial reports indicate the victim and a woman were involved in some sort of a domestic dispute before police arrived. Authorities initially couldn’t find the firearm, but it was later discovered in a dresser drawer. The whole thing remains under investigation. An autopsy has now been completed and a final cause of death is pending.
