Emergency officials in Mifflin County say flood levels along the Juniata River may not be as severe as first feared. Earlier predictions from the National Weather Service showed the river cresting at over 21 feet early this morning, but updated readings from upstream gages suggest it’ll likely stay below that mark. Flooding along low-lying roads however, remains possible as the river climbs past 14 feet. Drivers are urged to watch for changing conditions. Alerts are being sent through Pennsylvania’s CodeRed system.
