Derry Township officials declared May 18-24 as EMS week, honoring Pat Shoop of FAME EMS. To mark the occasion, FAME is hosting an open house Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m., featuring apparatus displays and food from Solid Gold Concessions. At Monday’s meeting, officials also announced the completion of Kish Park’s playground construction and approved contracts for local demolitions and equipment purchases, including a compact excavator for nearly $80,000. Plans for walking trails at Kish Park were also discussed.
