Mifflin County Commissioners approved redirecting $4 million in grant funds originally meant for the Mifflin County Academy expansion. One million dollars will go toward the Historic Courthouse improvements, while $3 million is now allocated to the Mifflin County School District’s new sports complex fieldhouse.
While the Academy project is on hold, commissioners stressed the need for future renovations to the 60-year-old facility to support workforce development. The resolution aims to prevent the grant from expiring and keep funds available for important county projects.
