The Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation held its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, and among the items up for discussion was the upcoming demolition of Building 5C. The project, which has been in planning for nearly four years, will begin before May 1 after the removal of asbestos. Once demolished, the site will provide an improved view for those entering Lewistown. In other business, board members reviewed workforce data, partnering with Advanced Central Pennsylvania to assess the availability of machine operators for potential new employers in the region.
