The Lewistown Borough Council held their meeting, and announced that council has begun to discuss funding options for a new fire truck for Heritage Fire Company, with council members saying they need to find a way to finance the truck, as they work to finalize the budget. They plan to discuss it again to finalize costs. In other business, the council addressed delinquent sewer and refuse payments, and approved bids for a digester project. Street sweeping began last Sunday, and new parking permit signs were installed at North Plaza Lot.
