A Reedsville man was found guilty of murdering Huntingtown resident Joseph Shymanski in 2023. 49 year old Brandon Holbrook was convicted after an eight-day trial for killing Shymanski, dismembering his body, and scattering the remains in nearby woods. Shymanski, a well-known photographer, was reported missing after his ex-wife identified Holbrook as a person of interest. Holbrook faces life in prison without parole now, as the State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking the maximum sentence.
