The trial of Brandon Holbrook, accused of murdering and dismembering Washington D.C. photographer Joe Shymanski, began Monday in Calvert County, Maryland. Prosecutors say Holbrook shot Shymanski in his driveway on Labor Day weekend 2023, then transported his body back here to Pennsylvania, where remains were later found burned near Holbrookâs home. Surveillance footage and license plate readers… according to prosecutors… place Holbrook at the crime scene. He has already rejected a plea deal.
