Lewistown Woman Accused of Being Drunk Caregiver

A Lewistown woman is facing charges after allegedly showing up intoxicated to care for a dependent adult. Police in Mount Union responded to a welfare check and found 61-year-old Alina McNemar lying outside next to an empty bottle of alcohol. The victim told officers McNemar was “acting strange” and needed assistance herself. She was scheduled to work but was unable to perform her duties. McNemar was charged with abuse of a care-dependent person. A hearing is set for April 30.
