A Pennsylvania woman is facing charges after being accused of abusing a 9-year-old child. 27-year-old Ali Leach of Selinsgrove, according to a report, forcefully spanked the child multiple times a week with a spatula as punishment for minor mistakes, like not giving the family dog water on time. The abuse reportedly began last year and continued until this month, when the report was filed. The child suffered a black eye after being struck while turning around during one incident. Leach has been charged with felony endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, and harassment. She was jailed, with bail set at $15,000.
