A father and son from Mount Union are facing multiple charges after allegedly chasing a 17-year-old driver at high speeds through several boroughs back in December, resulting in a crash and assault. An investigation since the incident, which occurred on December 7th, shows that 25 year old Tyler Spriggs followed the victim’s vehicle, joined by his father, 44 year old Jonathan Spriggs. The pursuit escalated, with dangerous maneuvers, including ramming the victim’s car. The chase ended when Jonathan Spriggs physically assaulted the victim after he crashed. Both father and son have now been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and unlawful restraint. Preliminary hearings are set for April 9.
