2 Lewistown Council Members Make It Official

Two Lewistown Borough Council members are making their bids official. Scott Gutshall and Lisa Knudson have filed nominating petitions to run as Republicans in the May 20 primary. Both were appointed to vacant council seats last year and say they want to keep the momentum going. They point to no tax increases for 2025, increased funding for fire and EMS, and a budget surplus after inheriting a deficit. Gutshall, a senior IT manager, focuses on fiscal responsibility, while Knudson, a Penn State researcher, emphasizes community growth. Both say they’re committed to Lewistown’s future.
