Centre County Woman Jailed After Alleged Plot to Kill Police Informant

A Centre County woman is behind bars after allegedly conspiring with her jailed boyfriend to kill a police informant. Investigators say 45 year old Amanda Zortman communicated with inmate Mark Hackett about a plan to deliver a fatal dose of fentanyl—known as a “hotshot”—to the informant. Authorities say Zortman arranged to bail out a so-called hitman in exchange for drugs and cash, but the plan fell apart. She was arrested on Monday and is being held without bail.
