Today, we congratulate two Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology students, Jaxon Yoder and Beth McKnight, who have qualified for the SkillsUSA State Competition. Yoder, a senior, advanced in telecommunications cabling, while McKnight, a junior, took first place in medical assisting. Over 20 students from the Academy competed at the SkillsUSA District 7 event in Altoona. Several others earned second and third-place finishes, showcasing their skills in many other areas. The state competition will be held in April.
