Mifflin Commissioners Award Grant to Geisinger School of Nursing

The Mifflin County Commissioners have awarded a $100,000 grant to Geisinger School of Nursing to enhance nursing education with new simulation laboratory technology. The funding supports the school’s relocation to downtown Lewistown last May, part of ongoing revitalization efforts. Commissioners noted the importance of the grant in addressing the growing demand for nurses and strengthening local healthcare. Geisinger School of Nursing, now serving 105 students, expresses deep appreciation for the support, which will help equip future nurses to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
