Officer Involved Shooting Ruled Justifiable

The Mifflin County District Attorney’s office has released its report on a June 2024 officer-involved shooting in Lewistown. Ridge Ryan Rhodes, armed with a rifle and reportedly under the influence of LSD and THC, was fatally shot after aiming his weapon at officers. The DA determined the officer’s use of deadly force was justified to protect officers in immediate danger. No criminal charges will be filed, and the incident was ruled a justifiable homicide.
