A house fire Sunday morning on Glenwood Avenue in Derry Township displaced two people. Firefighters arrived to find the home fully engulfed, and in addition to battling the flames, crews also had to deal with the cold and snowy weather. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes, but the home was a total loss. On the bright side, one of the people living there was home at the time, but they fortunately escaped without any injury. The displaced residents are now receiving help from the Red Cross. Multiple local fire companies assisted in extinguishing the blaze. The cause remains under investigation.
