The deadline for Pennsylvania’s Real ID is fast approaching, and residents have just a few months to get their updated driver’s licenses before new federal regulations go into effect. Starting May 7th, only Real ID-compliant IDs will be accepted for boarding commercial flights or entering federal buildings. To obtain one, Pennsylvanians must provide proof of identity, Social Security number, address, and any legal name changes. The process requires a one-time fee of $30, and can be done online or at a PennDOT or Real ID center.
