Macy’s has announced the closure of 66 stores, including a big one here in Pennsylvania… its iconic Philadelphia location in the historic Wanamaker Building. The store, which has been a staple in that city for decades, will close in March. This marks another significant shift in the retail landscape as Macy’s moves forward with its “Bold New Chapter” strategy, part of a plan to close 150 underperforming stores over three years. Several other Pennsylvania stores will also shut down.
