State Trooper Steps Down Amid Porn Allegations

A Pennsylvania State Police corporal is facing charges after authorities discovered thousands of pornographic images on his work computer, including some so-called AI-generated “deepfakes.” 38 year old Stephen Kamnik is charged with felony unauthorized use of a computer and misdemeanor misapplication of entrusted property. Kamnik’s computer, seized at Troop K in Montgomery County, also contained evidence of deepfake images. He was arrested and arraigned on Wednesday, and is now suspended without pay. Kamnik has been a state trooper since 2011.
