State Ag Grant Money Headed to Juniata County

Juniata County is set to benefit from state agriculture grants aimed at supporting youth education and career development. The Juniata County Agricultural Society received $6,500 for its “Chase the Banner” program, while the local FFA’s “Savoring the Seasons” food preservation initiative was awarded $7,479. These funds come from the PA Farm Bill Agriculture & Youth Grants, which distributed over $500,000 across 29 counties. Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding highlighted the importance of preparing young people for roles in Pennsylvania’s $132.5 billion agriculture industry, a key focus of the Shapiro Administration’s education investments.
