The local chapter of Wreaths Across America is preparing to honor veterans at Church Hill Cemetery in Reedsville on Saturday, December 14. With nearly 200 wreaths sponsored for the annual event, organizers are set to surpass last year’s total of 180 wreaths. This marks the sixth year the cemetery has participated in the national program, which pays tribute to fallen heroes. Each wreath supports the program’s mission to remember the fallen, honor those in service, and teach the value of freedom. The wreath-laying ceremony will begin at noon that Saturday, following a tribute to veterans.
