Penn State University has agreed to a settlement in a class-action lawsuit, resulting in a $17 million refund to students enrolled during the Spring 2020 semester. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of students who paid for in-person classes that transitioned to virtual learning due to COVID-19, claims they were charged for services no longer provided. Students will receive approximately $150 each, with payments sent automatically to their last known address. The settlement is awaiting final court approval.
