The position would provide teachers with strategies like de-escalation techniques. A finalized job description will be ready for a vote in December, with hiring anticipated after winter college graduations. In other business, the board also recognized middle school counselors Jane Foor and Andy McCardell for earning state and national awards in school counseling.
