The Juniata County Commissioners held their meeting Tuesday, and among the items covered was approval of some critical upgrades for the 911 Center, including a new thermostat, sensors, and controls in the H. Brown Fry Building for $1,680. The system will enhance environmental controls throughout the facility, and it comes after being recommended by Maintenance director Richard Fisher. In other business yesterday, commissioners approved $8,200 for a hazardous materials exercise, tax exonerations for two municipalities, and the October assessment report. The board will meet next on November 26th.
