Local United Way Asking for More Help to Meet Goal

Everyone is feeling the pinch of today’s economy, and the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata County is no different. Their 2025 campaign needs a little help right now. They say they are running about18% behind last year’s pace, with a goal of raising $450,000. While the United Way remains optimistic, they are now urging more community support to meet growing needs. Last year’s campaign raised just over $371,000. The organization supports 16 local agencies providing health, education, and financial stability programs. You can help them meet their goal by supporting some upcoming fundraising events. They include Shop with a Cop on December 18 and Ugly Sweater Day on December 20. The chapter will celebrate its 90th anniversary next year with special events, including a Night at the Races on January 25.
