Man Rescued From Miniature Statue of Liberty in Susquehanna River

A man was rescued from the Miniature Statue of Liberty in the Susquehanna River after getting stranded in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County. Emergency responders received a call around 1:30pm yesterday, for an injured kayaker who somehow ended up stuck on the small island featuring the iconic replica. Firefighters and rescue teams worked quickly to bring him to safety. The Middle Paxton Fire Company shared the successful operation on social media, but no details about the kayaker’s injuries were immediately released.
