Derry Township has approved a new four-way stop at Eighth and Cedar Streets, near Mifflin County High School, after safety concerns were raised by locals. In other business before the board at their most recent meeting, a decision on a land development project near Pleasant Acres was postponed until December 3 to review engineering feedback. Also, contracts for the Kish Park renovation were approved, including a $345,000 site improvement deal and a nearly $60,000 plumbing contract. Several other measures were also passed, things like ADA parking space approvals and a $905 backup battery purchase.
