PennDOT today, will begin excavation work as part of a bridge improvement project along Route 22 in Mifflin County. Crews will work on two bridges over Long Hollow Run in Wayne Township, with excavation scheduled through November 21. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zones. The project, which aims to improve the bridges’ condition, is expected to finish excavation by the end of this week, with construction on the bridges set for the coming year. Completion is anticipated by next August.
