Belleville Mennonite School has launched a new cooperative program allowing students to gain real-world experience in their chosen career fields. This year, some seniors are working at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, providing patient care before attending their classes at BMS. Students who plan to pursue nursing, say they have found the hands-on experience invaluable. The partnership not only benefits the students but also helps Geisinger address its healthcare staffing shortages. The program could expand to other fields in the future.
