A Lewistown man, 21 year old Shaun Mellott, is behind bars today, facing multiple child rape and sexual assault charges. Police say Mellott assaulted a 13-year-old on two occasions in October. The charges come following a report from Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. During questioning, Mellott reportedly admitted to the assaults. In a separate case, a 12-year-old accused him of attempted sexual acts and said he committed sexual acts on a dog. Mellott is being held on $250,000 bail.
