McDonald’s is resuming the sale of Quarter Pounders at hundreds of locations following the resolution of an E. coli outbreak which resulted in one death and sickened at least 75 people across 13 states, was traced back to slivered onions from a single supplier. McDonald’s will reintroduce the Quarter Pounder without slivered onions this week, and the company has stopped sourcing from the affected facility in Colorado Springs. Testing confirmed that beef patties were not the source of the contamination.
