4th Graders Schooled on Farming

Some fourth-graders from Juniata County spent a day on the farm during Ag Exploration Day recently, learning about agriculture careers. Hosted at Millwork Farm in Thompsontown, the students explored things such as animal care, soil health, and poultry farming. The event, organized by the Juniata County Conservation District and Penn State Extension, aimed to give the students a hands-on experience of farming, which plays a vital role in our local economy. Teachers and organizers hope it will inspire students to consider future careers in agriculture.
