Reedsville Accused Murderer Spurns Plea Deal – Trial Now Set to Begin March 31

A Reedsville man accused of murdering a Washington, D.C. photographer will now face trial in March. Brandon Holbrook, in custody since last year, rejected a plea deal. He’s charged with murder, assault, and tampering with evidence. Prosecutors allege Holbrook shot Joseph Shymanski in his Maryland driveway, transported the body back here to Pennsylvania, and later discarded the remains. Holbrook’s defense argues there’s no direct evidence tying him to the crime. The trial is now set to run from March 31 to April 11th.
