Mifflin and Juniata Counties Receive State Money

The Shapiro Administration has announced a substantial investment of $216.3 million to enhance drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems across 21 Pennsylvania counties. This funding, managed by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), will support 33 projects aimed at replacing lead pipes, rehabilitating aging water treatment systems, and improving compliance with environmental regulations. Included is a $1.3 Million grant and a $2.3 Million loan for the Port Royal Municipal Authority in Juniata County, along with a $5.4 Million grant and a $943,000 loan for upgrades to the wastewater treatment plants in Bratton Township, Mifflin County.
